A$AP Ferg Shares Current Status of A$AP Mob

Ferg is keeping it real about the current status of the A$AP Mob. Speaking on the Touré Show in a 56-minute chat, the rapper touched on the collective’s present place in the world.

When asked point blank if he is still involved with A$AP, Ferg said that he currently is A$AP, “I’m an A$AP…But I don’t think there is A$AP anymore.” He added, “There’s not a Cozy Tape out, a new one. Or there’s not an office, there’s not a record label, A$AP Worldwide. There’s not a record label. I think it’s a thing of the past.” The rapper went on to discuss the legacy of the group and how people still gravitate towards the name, “I think people hold onto the legacy that we created and those things but when you think about A$AP, I think from the music point, you think about me and Rocky who did the music and all of that. Of course, it was built off the backs of Bari and Yams and all of that but we’re the faces.”

Ferg clarifies that he is still in touch with Rocky, as well as other from the crew but since the A$AP Mob days, everyone has branched out with their own “pockets and groups of friends.” He added, “We came together as a collective and we loved it and we’ve grown into these different entities. But we came together as a collective to do something positive and create opportunities for ourselves and our family and our friends. So we killed it. We did that for 12 years.” Ferg has been back on the grind, most recently dropping his latest, Darold, back in November. The album featured the likes from Mary J. Blige and Denzel Curry.
