I’m 5′ 2″—Nobody’s Child’s Petite Dresses Fit Me Perfectly

At 5′ 2″ (a tall 5′ 2″, might I add), finding clothes that actually fit my petite frame has never been straightforward. Trousers are either hemmed or worn to ruin from dragging along the pavement, and when it comes to dresses, what’s marketed as a mini often lands somewhere around the knee, a midi sweeps the ankles and a maxi, well, that’s usually a tripping hazard. With most brands still failing to design for smaller frames, I’ve come to expect compromise. So when I stumbled across the petite section at Nobody’s Child ahead of my summer trip to Spain, I didn’t expect much. But what I found was a genuinely impressive edit of pieces that not only fit but actually looked great on, too.

From timeless one-shoulder pieces to on-trend polka dot styles and bandeau designs, the petite section at Nobody’s Child didn’t consist of just one or two token pieces, but a genuinely stylish, considered collection of summer dresses, matching sets and breezy separates, all thoughtfully cut for those of us closer to the ground. Suddenly, I didn’t have to worry about ordering ahead to account for last-minute tailoring, nor do mental maths trying to visualise how a hemline might fall. These dresses just work.
