Be Well, Do Well – A Review of the New Book by Leah Crump

clean-reading

Leah Crump is obviously a force to be reckoned with in the wellness industry. She has built a business consulting with luxury hotel brands, wellness practitioners and future wellness consultants on how best to bring peace, clarity, and vision into their businesses. She’s not afraid to acknowledge the truths that wellness and financial stability and growth have to run in parallel. She is a self-made woman. And it’s easy to believe that she has always been the confident, poised, and charismatic woman you might meet today.

But in her new book Be Well, Do Well, Leah explores the often winding path that her life and career have taken. Reflecting upon the near-constant reinventions she’s had to take, and her struggles with burnout, juggling parenting and work especially in a mixed-raced marriage, and learning how to trust her own intuition and fight off impostor syndrome.

Leah Crump – Luxury Wellness Consultant and Author of the new book Be Well, Do Well

Trust in Your Ability to Find a Way

At every step of the way, she’s found herself saying yes when curiosity pulls her. And yet she was not afraid to ask for help and mentorship along the way. Through her own experiences, she encourages the reader to believe in the possibility of finding your own path by being open to opportunity. She believes in the power of finding your tribe by saying yes to community, and finding your own happiness by trusting yourself and allowing yourself to view rest, restoration, and renewal.

“You don’t have to be perfect to build a life you love. You just have to be honest, curious, and willing to begin again.”

Have it All with an Updated Mindset

This book blends the you-can-have-it-all mentality of the 90s with the awareness that your own mental and physical well-being cannot be sacrificed to get it. That “all” might look differently to you and it might mean saying no, trusting in yourself, and allowing for healing. Leah’s own words say it so gracefully: “Being well isn’t about resolution, it’s about returning, again and again.”

A quick and breezy read, this book is an inspiration. It encourages you to sit back and enjoy the journey. Or as Leah states:

“Sometimes your real life begins when you stop trying to understand your own origin story.”

It’s a balm that allows you to believe in yourself. Trust that the opportunity is there. And that your own talents are needed in this world. It provides the support and motivation you might need on a dark and gloomy day, when the negative thoughts are taking over and telling your brain lies.

Be Well, Do Well – A Safe Space to Feel Inspired

Much like in her own wellness practices, Leah creates space for you to envision your own successes and triumphs without judgment or guidance. She just states that she did it herself and believes that you can do it yourself too. She allows one’s self to believe again – in yourself, in your ability to love and foster community, and your ability to achieve.

The book feels like a much needed wellness treatment, weekend, or retreat. One that you leave inspired, energized, and restored. It’s a reminder that sometimes, we don’t need to just charge forward but instead we need to lean back. We need to observe. And then, we need to reconnect to find success. And that success is in the eye of the beholder.

Leah’s book Be Well, Do Well is now available for pre-order and will be released August 1st. Find out more about the book here
