It’s Fashion Week all month long.
Here’s looking at you, chic luxury hotels in London, New York, and Milan.

London, UK
Maximalist Glamour, $$$$
The Scene
Gliding through Broadwick’s red door in the heart of Soho, you’ll feel like you’ve walked onto a flamboyant, theatrical, and unapologetically bold movie set. Designed by Martin Brudnizki, every inch of the 57-room boutique hotel (one of our Best New Hotels for 2023) whirls with color, patterns, and textures — mirrored ceilings, animal prints, terrazzo walls, and elephant galore (the hotel’s mascot). And within the spectacle, the hush of luxury. Yes, those are real Francis Bacon, Bridget Riley, and William Turnbull artworks you’re looking at.
The Action
Rooms and suites are cinematic cocoons with fancy amenities (Frette linens, hand-woven blankets) and bathrooms to match (walk-in rain showers, Ortigia products, Dyson hair dryers, freestanding tubs). Bar Jackie, the all-day ground floor cafe, serves espresso in the mornings and aperitivi, snacks, and vino until midnight. Downstairs, Dear Jackie restaurant continues the fabulous Italian theme with Murano lighting on the walls and vitello tonnato on the menu. (Jackie is the owner’s mother.) The rooftop terrace bar Flute offers city views and cocktails, but the best spot in the house is The Nook, the residents-only ground-floor lounge with an excellent vinyl collection and a cozy fireplace.
This Place Is Perfect For
Anyone who wants a hotel that dials it up on style and opulence.

New York, NY
Crystal Glam, $$$$
The Scene
MoMA is at the doorstep, and the façade shimmers like spun crystal. Inside, the lobby and Grand Salon gleam from chandeliers and stemware scattering light across silver-leaf paneling and pleated silk walls. Good thing you dressed up: The vibe here is Parisian glamour merged with Midtown Manhattan edge.
The Action
Rooms feel like pieds-à-terres: swathes of cashmere, deep bathtubs, artful glass touches you didn’t know you needed, and windows framing the city. The breakfast-through-dinner menu at the Grand Salon is overseen by Michelin-starred chef Gabriel Kreuther. The Bar inspired by the stables at Versailles serves rare cognacs in Baccarat crystal; Le Jardin terrace has the finest rosés Provence can pour. Tired of clinking glasses? Head to Spa de La Mer for French-style beauté and breathwork.
This Place Is Perfect For
New York in elegant, extravagant excess.

Milan, Italy
Fashioned Elegance, $$$$
The Scene
Step through a Baroque gateway into what feels like Milan’s best-kept secret: Portrait Milano is housed in a former 16th-century seminary in a piazza that had all but been forgotten for two decades. The hotel is part house-museum and part high-fashion salon, with rich woods, plush velvets, piles of art books, bold accents of cardinal red and emerald, and corridors that echo with stories of centuries past.
The Action
Yes, fashion people do eat. At 10_11: breakfast feasts of pastries, breads, yogurts, cheese, and eggs and on pasta in bianco at dinner. At Beefbar: razor-sharp meats with a side of cosmopolitan flair. At Rumore the spot for drinks, soft lights, and mellow jazz. The Longevity Spa specializes in biohacking and anti-aging treatments like cryotherapy — and also has a relaxing, column-adorned pool.

Fashion lovers chasing la dolce vita.
