Chris Martin and Sophie Turner are really hitting it off!
The lovebirds have now gone on multiple dates after their first “secret” meet-up in the fall (immediately after her split from British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson)! An Us Weekly insider spilled the tea on Monday:
“They have gone out on a few dates in London. It is still very new, but they have a lot of chemistry, and there’s a definite spark between them.”
Aww! Exciting!

The insider pointed out the pair “met years ago in passing” because they had “mutual friends in the music industry” during Sophie’s marriage to Joe Jonas. As we all saw, Joe even hooked her up with a surprise birthday video message from the Coldplay frontman since he was her celebrity crush! Acknowledging this, the source added:
“It was always friendly. Sophie has always admired Chris and was a big fan of both him and his music long before they ever met. She’s even joked that she used to have a bit of a crush on him, so it’s funny and surreal that they actually connected in a romantic way in real life.”
She’s living out so many fangirls’ dreams! Hah!
Despite a 19-year age gap (that Gwyneth Paltrow had to approve) — Chris is 48 and Sophie is 29 — they actually have a lot in common! The insider pointed out:
“They have a lot in common, and Chris is definitely her type. They have bonded over being British and their love for music.”
Sounds like the romance is off to a really strong start! We hope they come up with more in common than that, though — they’re gonna need it to make this age-gap romance work. LOLz! While a previous report from DeuxMoi suggested the romance is “very casual” and more of a fling, it’s sounding like there might be something more serious developing here!
