Winter is long and winter is hard, but this year it’s been even worse due to the fact that Megan Thee Stallion hasn’t posted an Instagram fit check in over a month. It’s not her job to keep us updated on her hair, makeup, and nails, but those are really the things that keep us going through tough times.
Still, even in our darkest days, we have to remember there are good people out there. One of these people is Megan’s hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, who recently shared an Instagram post of the rapper to remind us that she’s alive and well. Oh, and she’s a redhead now.
Megan Thee Stallion’s New Hair Color
In the January 26 post, the 29-year-old and Deryck dance around a building in Paris, winding staircase-work included. The white walls and wainscoting of the Parisian space offer the perfect background to showcase the new hair color, a ginger shade that’s been gaining major popularity recently.
Megan’s copper hair was worn long and wavy for the shade’s premiere, cascading down her back with a crimped texture that added extra movement to her already pro physical motion.
“GINGER STALLION,” commented a fan on the post, while others filled the section with fire emojis.

Copper Locks Are Trending This Winter
“For winter, copper reds are turning up the vibrancy. It’s the perfect season to really enhance the brightness and depth of red and copper tones,” stylist Jacob Sirianno told Byrdie while discussing this winter’s biggest hair trends. Exhibit A: this. Exhibit B: Keke Palmer‘s recent variation (she also brought Exhibit C to the table with a crisp copper bob a few weeks ago).
As Megan herself has shown us time and time again, there are so many ways to do red hair. The artist has shown support for Cherry Cola and Pop Star Red shades in the past, so this hue offers a bit of a calmed down take on the color range we’re used to. With its nice fade-ability, its also a great starter shade for those interested in taking on a new, ginger persona.

“Looks loading….” wrote Deryck in his Instagram post, a promise that I’m holding on to ever so strongly. There’s more warmth, ie. red hair, incoming—from both Megan Thee Stallion and the world at large.
