Just hours after making a triumphant return to Wimbledon’s 2025 circuit, Kate Middleton was back on Sunday, July 13 with her family in tow. The Princess of Wales stunned in a deep royal blue as she watched the men’s finals with Prince William and their kids—and she shared the sweetest moment with fellow avid tennis fan Princess Charlotte while sitting courtside.
While 7-year-old Prince Louis and his antics were noticeably missing from Sunday’s match, his sister Princess Charlotte stole the show as she made a surprise appearance with her older brother Prince George. It’s no secret the two eldest Wales kids love tennis just like their mom—George has previously taken lessons with Roger Federer and Kate told reporters last year that Charlotte had “been practicing” ahead of their highly-anticipated Royal Box appearance—but the normally reserved royal couldn’t contain her excitement during the men’s final match.

Charlotte could be seen clasping her face in shock with her eyes wide during the game, mirroring Kate Middleton’s own expressions of surprise. The mother-daughter pair could also be seen leaning towards each other and whispering behind their matching fans as they took in the exciting match.

Kate and William’s only daughter also made waves during her appearance at last year’s Wimbledon, proudly looking on as her mom—who was undergoing treatment for cancer at the time—was greeted with a standing ovation. Charlotte, who appeared starstruck as she accepted a winning racket from women’s singles champion Barbora Krejčiková, has been following in Kate’s tennis-loving footsteps.

Princess Kate—who is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club—reportedly told players, “as a family, we play a lot [of tennis]” and revealed that she and Charlotte had been “filling in the leaderboard” during the matches.
And while Prince Louis might still be too young to attend the iconic tennis tournament, it seems like the toddler is also learning to love the game at an early age. Kate Middleton previously brought home a “priceless gift”—signed Adidas Stan Smith sneakers from tennis star Stan Smith—for her youngest son back in 2019 when he was just a year old.
