This year, Selena Gomez is all of our Galentine. She made sure of it.
On February 5, Gomez (alongside Jennifer Aniston!!) hosted a Galentine’s Day party in Los Angeles to celebrate upcoming launches from their brands, Rare Beauty and Lolavie. Complete with a photo booth, “blush bar” to test the new Soft Pinch Matte Bouncy Blush—it officially launches in late March, but you can snag it until midnight today at Sephora—and what looks to be plenty of giggling, the event also served another purpose. It gave us all the manicure inspiration we’ll need to get through this season of (platonic or romantic) love.

Gomez’s go-to nail artist, Tom Bachik, dubbed her look the “Winter Blush Manicure” in an Instagram post. How romantic is that?
He completed the pretty set with his favorite tools: the Tweezerman x Tom Bachik Ultimate Nail Care Set. He utilized the included files, tweezer, and cuticle pusher and trimmer to shape the star’s nails into her favorite soft squoval shape.
Next up, he grabbed a bottle of Aprés Nail’s Light & Shadow Sheer Gel Couleur in the shade Flushed. Because one coat of the buildable polish is oh so sheer, I’d assume he used two—the perfect setup to get that slightly opaque effect the girlies have been loving lately. It’s giving soap nails in theory, but a shade or two darker than any bar soap I’ve ever seen. Vintage pink bathroom nails, perhaps?

Isn’t it nice to find out that a gorgeous celebrity manicure is a one-shade wonder? Even if you don’t have a gel setup at home, it makes figuring out a way to duplicate the look so much easier.
For this one, I’d give Cirque Colors Rose Pink Jelly polish a spin. Essie’s Cheeky is also a good pick up, and if you care more about the color than the opaqueness go with Gucci Glossy Nail Polish in Ellen Blush.
