Skip Long TSA Lines at These Airport Hotels

At two U.S. airports, there’s a little known and surprising way to avoid long security lines.

It’s called the airport hotel, and three of them actually have their own TSA checkpoints.

And if you’re traveling with carry-on bags only, it’s the way to go. The InterContinental Hotel connected to the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport has an on-site TSA security checkpoint.

It’s open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., and you don’t need to be a guest to use it. In Michigan, the Westin at Detroit Metropolitan Airport offers a TSA entrance straight into the McNamara Terminal, and again, you don’t have to be staying there to use it.

And in Dallas, the Grand Hyatt at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is located inside their Terminal D, and you can take the elevator straight from your room to security.
