U.S. Airports and Routes With the Worst Summer Turbulence

If you’re flying in the U.S. this summer, you might want to keep that seatbelt fastened for the entire flight, especially if you’re traveling west of the Rocky Mountains.

Turns out the worst airports and flight routes for turbulence in North America, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, start with Denver, Colorado, followed by Bozeman, Montana.

Also making the turbulent list: Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, Jackson Hole and Las Vegas.

Turbulence is also on the rise in Seattle, Reno and Boise.
