Celebrities really are just like us, and Jenna Bush Hager and Tyra Banks are proving the sentiment with a hilarious confession. During the April 15 episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, the two stars dissected a viral video on X of a couple faking an engagement to get free dessert.
Banks admitted that she’s done something similar while on a trip. “Okay, so my mom had a birthday many years ago, and we were in Dubai with my man, and he proceeded to say her birthday was going on for two weeks,” she remembered. “And for two weeks, it was people coming in with flowers and cakes and the fire and the Champagne.”
“So guilty, family,” she added. “Super guilty.”

Bush Hager then chimed in adding that, she too, has tried the tactic before. “Well, my cousin pretended to propose to me, which sounds nasty,” she said before a photo of her and her aforementioned relative was shared on the screen. “Look! That’s us!”
“We look like a couple, don’t we?” she quipped, to which Banks teasingly responded, “No, he looks like your cousin.”

“We weren’t 18. We did it kind of for laughs—and for dessert,” she said before confirming that they did, in fact, secure a sweet treat.
Bush Hager made another revelation about her real-life husband Henry Hager during a recent episode of the show. She revealed that sometimes, as busy parents of three kids (Mila, Poppy, and Hal), the couple has to schedule intimate time.
“Now, here’s the thing. When you have multiple children, you’ll see, sometimes you have to, like, you kind of have to,” she explained. “And I don’t love it, but otherwise, then it doesn’t happen the way it used to. Because there’s people everywhere pulling on you.”
