It started during the pandemic — countries that changed their visa rules to allow travelers to go there and essentially work from anywhere — and they issued digital nomad visas.
And now, even more countries are offering these programs. Brazil lets you stay for a year and you can renew for a second year.
You can now stay in Croatia, Mexico, Greece, Portugal, and Spain for a year, and in Costa Rica for up to two years.
In Thailand, the digital nomad visa is valid for up to five years. Of course, documentation is required, and proof of employment and income is almost always required.
